Design Story
The FLYING FISH LED ceiling lamp is inspired from the story of Zhuang-Zi*, one of the most revered ancient mythical Chinese texts recognizing a holistic way to live. Xcellent Design likewise hold such philosophy in their products – aesthetic function in harmony with efficient manufacture and use. The wings are lit by tens-of-millions of micro-lenses, spanning an impressive 574mm (22.6”). The design uniquely unites tradition with modern materials, and provides new inspiration for LED lighting.The shining wings can be freely adjusted and the bright area altered. Sliding the bob weight under the body allows the angle of ‘flight’ to be adjusted upwards or down.
